Welcome to Rural Child Empowerment Forum
Rural Child Empowerment Forum – RUCEF, is a Voluntary Rural Child Oriented Community Based and Non – Profit Organization. Founded in April 2016, we work directly with rural communities in the south western region of Uganda. The Organization was formed as an initiative to advocate and fight for the rights of the rural vulnerable child, empower and support them with basic life and educational skills among other projects.

WHO WE ARE
Rural Child Empowerment Forum (RUCEF) is a Voluntary Rural Child Oriented Community Based and Non – Profit Organization which was founded in April 2016. The CBO was formed as an initiative to advocate for the rural vulnerable child, reach out, empower and support them with basic life skills and school needs to those who are in schools. Our main aim is to address the major challenges facing the most vulnerable children like high rates of school dropouts, drug abuse among desperate and homeless children, Early pregnancies -marriages especially among the rural girl child, and unemployment among the youth who make the most percentage number of Uganda’s total population

WHAT WE ARE DOING
ABOUT NYABUHAMA PRIMARY SCHOOL
Nyabuhama primary school was started in 1974 as a community church School. The School is located along the Kampala-Mbarara high way 12KM off the main road and it’s the only primary school in this community of Nyabuhama. Nyabuhama primary school has a total population of 311 pupils as of August 2017 with 160 girls and 151 boys. Like any other rural primary school in a developing country like Uganda, the school is facing a number of challenges.
