We started the ghetto – refugee kids outreach drives in April 2019 after realizing a rampant increase in the number of street kids within Mbarara city. Through these drives we get to speak and listen to these vulnerable groups on how they ended up on these streets of Mbarara and one of the common reasons given is always related to Home Based Violence and home insecurities. By working with a few orphanages and churches we’ve successfully managed to secure a safe environment for some of the kids and also reconnected those willing to get back to their homes.
